FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 2, 2021
As of July 1, 2021, all Washington County Health Department office buildings will be open to the public.
Over the last fifteen months we have found alternative ways to provide many of our services and bridged gaps from being physically separated and found new ways to stay connected. As we continue to fight the pandemic by providing COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, and contact tracing, we are working towards restoring all programmatic and clinical services to pre-pandemic level.
Visitors and clients should be aware of the following information in regards to entering the Washington County Health Department for services:
Health Screening Process
Health screening processes at building entrances will continue for both employees and clients. Clients should enter at the main entrance of the health department for screening before entering the building.
Masks and Physical Distancing
For fully vaccinated employees and visitors, physical distancing and masks are no longer required. Masks and physical distancing are strongly encouraged for non-vaccinated employees and visitors. Individuals who are more comfortable wearing masks are welcome to do so. Please be respectful of co-workers and those around you.
Masks will be required when clinical services are being rendered by both the staff and clients.
Services
Some of our services that were previously walk-in services are now by appointment only as such as STI testing and Medicaid Assistance. All program and service updates have been made on our website. If you have any questions regarding a program or service please visit our website at washcohealth.org or call us at 240-313-3200.
