The Administration division is responsible for all the support functions that enable the core mission of the Washington County Health Department. These include:
Budget and Accounting – Responsible for monitoring funds and spending, paying bills, invoicing of individuals and companies receiving services from the health department
Grants Management – Responsible for working with programs to develop program budgets, monitoring grant funds and spending
Information Technology – Responsible for supporting all the technical resources of the health department
Purchasing – Responsible for acquiring the equipment, supplies, and services necessary to support the health department’s mission
Maintenance/Housekeeping – Responsible for keeping the buildings and grounds of the various health department locations in good condition
Reception – Greets clients, assists clients with filling out the appropriate forms required to receive services, enters client information into the records system and verifies client’s insurance information, prints birth and death certificates
Medical Assistance Transportation Program – The Medical Assistance Transportation Program provides transportation for individuals on medical assistance who are otherwise unable to travel from their homes to medical appointments. The Washington County Health Department contracts with an outside contractor to provide the actual transportation, and pays the bills using a state/federal grant for this service.
