Washington County Drive Thru COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
Hagerstown, MD (April 15, 2021)- The Washington County Health Department is pleased to announce plans for the county’s first COVID-19 drive thru vaccination clinic located at 13 West Lee Street in Hagerstown, MD.
During the last several months, this location has been used as the site for the health department’s drive-thru and walk-up COVID-19 testing. Now that spring weather is upon us, our COVID-19 testing operations have vacated this space and gone mobile throughout the county to provide access to COVID-19 testing to the various areas and populations in our county.
Starting April 19, 2021 the health department will be providing drive-thru COVID-19 vaccinations at this location. This location has proven to be successful and sufficient in providing the space and amenities for a drive –thru operation. This vaccine clinic will ultimately improve access for area residents and provide an alternative to the county’s various walk-thru clinics.
The drive-thru clinics will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m.-2:15 p.m. Appointments are required. To register for an appointment please call our vaccine appointment call center at 240-313-3456 or fill out our interest form at https://forms.gle/M7iUevAdfcs4cpDb9 to be contacted when appointments are available. The health department is currently receiving allocations of the Moderna vaccine, which has been approved for those aged 18 or older. Our vaccine clinics are currently open to those who live or work in Washington County, who are 18 years of age or older.
It is the Washington County Health Department’s goal to provide equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines. Along with the opening of the drive-thru vaccine clinic, the health department will continue to hold COVID-19 vaccine clinics throughout the county to improve vaccine access to vulnerable and racial/ethnic highly-impacted populations, geographically isolated areas, and economically disadvantaged communities in Washington County.
