Steve Christman, a maintenance supervisor at the Washington County Health Department, was named employee of the quarter for the first quarter of calendar year 2025.
Christman has been with the organization for an impressive 23+ years.
His nomination noted that Christman and his team “have a direct impact on the aesthetic appearance of the buildings and campus that make up the Washington County Health Department, and Steve is extremely effective at managing all of his duties to include making sure the public’s first impression of the agency, both inside and outside, is an A+!”
Christman was recognized for his “no-excuses, get-it-done attitude without hesitation and/or judgement. He leads by example and never hesitates to respond to requests by employees to address maintenance and/or cleaning needs.”
The nomination also noted that “The health department is fortunate to have a person like Steve who genuinely cares about the space for those who visit and work here and about the well-being of others, which he shows through his work ethic and quick response to their needs and requests.”
Congratulations Steve!
