The CDC recommends using KN95 masks over other types of face coverings to help maximize your protection against COVID-19. Consider upgrading your masks to KN95s, especially if you work in a job with high public contact or shared work spaces.
Additionally the WCHD is continuing to distribute free rapid at-home COVID-19 tests through the Washington County Free Library. If you would like a COVID-19 at-home test kit, and/or masks, please contact your local Washington County Library branch by phone to ask about their supply or visit their website at https://www.washcolibrary.org/. Please do not go inside the library if you are experiencing possible COVID-19 symptoms. WCHD continues to offer weekly PCR testing on Mondays and Wednesdays at 36 Lee Street in Hagerstown from 10am-2pm.
If you are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination but not vaccinated yet, please do so; testing is useful but a vaccine is still the best tool in our toolbox for fighting COVID-19.
Stay home if you are sick. Wash your hands, wear a mask in crowded indoor areas, check on family and neighbors often; their physical health as well as their mental health.
