A free community health fair will take place Friday, July 1, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Frederick Manor property in downtown Hagerstown. Staff from the Washington County Health Department will be set up in Hayes Court at the end of Hayes Avenue, at the back of the community.
Visitors to the community health fair will have access to the following resources and services on-site:
- COVID-19 nasal swab testing for all ages with results available in 24 hours
- Free rapid at-home test kits for COVID-19
- Free KN95 masks
- COVID-19 primary and booster vaccinations for ages 12 and older
- Reproductive health services and HIV testing information
- Blood pressure checks
- Diabetes risk assessments
- Harm reduction and mental health resources
- Body Mass Index (BMI) checks
- Cancer prevention education and information
Danielle Stahl, program manager for health planning and strategic initiatives of the health department explains that “In public health, it’s so important to meet the needs of the people we hope to serve right in their neighborhoods whenever we have the chance, and our community partners have helped make that happen.”
