The Washington County Health Department named Lillian Johnson, the prevention services secretary with the behavioral health services division, as the latest Employee of the Quarter for calendar year 2026.
Lillian has been with the health department for more than five years. Her nomination notes that she consistently demonstrates “exceptional dedication, professionalism and initiative in her work.” From organizing and maintaining supplies, to developing outreach materials; from researching and developing content for the public video display in the lobby of the behavioral health services division, to collaborating with staff to make sure social media content is relevant and engaging, Lillian’s work has helped “improve operational efficiency and enhance communication and collaboration across the agency.”
“One of her most notable, recent accomplishments was coordinating and assembling more than 7,000 outreach bags for a community event downtown, that included designing an educational messaging card to accompany each bag!” according to her nomination form.
In her nomination, it was also noted that “beyond her assigned duties, Lillian is always willing to assist co-workers, provide coverage for the office when needed and support community events. She actively pursues professional development opportunities, shares knowledge with colleagues and approaches every task with a positive attitude, patience and professionalism.”
“Lillian’s professionalism, reliability and genuine care for others embody the values of the Washington County Health Department, and her contributions have had a significant and lasting impact on the prevention program, behavioral health services division, the organization as a whole and the community we serve,” the nomination states.
