Jennifer White, the administrative officer and family resource specialist for the Healthy Families Washington County program, a part of the nursing division at the Washington County Health Department, was named Employee of the Quarter for the third quarter of calendar year 2025.
Jennifer has been with the health department for 15 years. Her nomination noted that her role “places her as the first contact for referrals and recruitment of participants into the Healthy Families program. She is skilled with building a foundation of trust with families and helps establish their expectations – that not only can they trust her, but all of the program staff. Jennifer’s detail-oriented and thorough work in the beginning with families offers her team members real insight to plan long-term services for participants.”
Jennifer’s nomination goes on to describe her as having “a positive attitude and a supportive nature that has made a huge impact on families who meet with her and the Healthy Families team. Her enthusiasm to learn has a meaningful benefit for everyone she works with, as it has encouraged others to continue learning.”
In addition to her role as family resource specialist, the nomination mentions that she “has been instrumental in outreach work for the program, regularly attending fairs, events and presentations to share a professional and consistent message of how Healthy Families Washington County supports families with babies and those expecting. Jennifer also works directly with her own caseload of families, consistently showing support, connecting them to resources and sharing vital information for the health, safety and development of the whole family.”
“Jennifer is reliable, consistent and ready to lend a helping hand. Her strengths and skills are a huge contribution to the program!”
Congratulations Jennifer!
