
Bonnie Beachley of the behavioral health services team at the Washington County Health Department was named Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of fiscal year 2025.
Beachley had retired after 20 years of service, but returned in August of 2024. Her nomination notes that she “seamlessly supports both the Jail Substance Abuse Program (JSAP) and the Trauma, Addiction, Mental Health and Recovery (TAMAR) program, stepping in wherever needed and providing peer support that fosters collaboration and excellence.”
Prior to becoming a paid employee, Beachley volunteered for a year-and-a-half in a similar role, “showcasing her commitment and passion for the work.”
Beachley was recognized as a “forward thinker who proactively plans for contingencies to address challenges” and for “consistently going above and beyond, demonstrating exceptional dedication and versatility, using her outstanding organizational skills to ensure services are delivered efficiently, planning and coordinating tasks and assisting counselors in structuring their workflows.”
The nomination also notes that Beachley is “a kind and giving individual, deeply valued and loved by both co-workers and patients, whose efficiency, combined with her empathetic nature, makes her a go-to resource.”
The nomination describes “her concern for the community that drives her efforts, a consistency in seeking ways to improve outcomes for all and her thoughtful and compassionate presence that elevates the workplace atmosphere and inspires those around her to strive for excellence, making Beachley an invaluable asset to the organization.”
