Description: This evidence-based fall prevention program is for older adults and meets once a week for seven weeks. Through each 2 hour session, older adults will learn exercises aimed at improving balance, increasing strength, and improving flexibility, thereby reducing the risk of a fall. Participants will also learn ways to further reduce their risk of a fall through guided discussion on various topics including; home hazards, vision health, proper footwear, medication management, bone health, better sleep, and community safety.
Eligibility requirements: Stepping On is designed for people who are living at home and who have fallen or are fearful of falling. Participants must be able to walk by themselves or with an assistive device.
