DESCRIPTION:Parents and guardians of children ages six months to five years of age may now make appointments for them to receive their initial COVID-19 vaccination through the Washington County Health Department. \nAppointments must be made for the special Thursday pediatric clinics by calling 240-313-3456 or visiting washcohealth.org under the COVID-19 section. COVID-19 vaccination clinics for this youngest age group will take place Thursdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. beginning July 7\, at the main health department building at 1302 Pennsylvania Ave. Walk-in times are not available for these clinics.

SUMMARY:Anchoring the Community - Extended hours for Behavioral Health Services
DESCRIPTION:Behavioral Health Services’ Harm Reduction and other support programs will offer extended hours the last Tuesday each month\, from 4-7 p.m.\, at 925 N. Burhans Blvd.\, Hagerstown. Services will include access to the syringe program to reduce the spread of infectious diseases\, along with syringe take-back; testing for HIV\, syphilis and Hep C; peer recovery support services; wound care screening; and mind-body resiliency through tai-chi. The resiliency exercise will take place from 5-6 p.m. those evenings and anyone participating must sign a release form.

Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine products are available from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for ages six months to five years. Vaccinations are given at 1302 Pennsylvania Ave.\, Hagerstown. Walk-in times are not available for these clinics. Children who weigh less than 16.5 pounds will not be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccination from the health department.
